It's madness

Absolute madness the 600,000 price tag put him off Burke.

Burke is a player we missing now and today and need some one like him in. It can change the side. What a missed opportunity, would never had happend with nw in charge.

Yet he was happy to spend twice has much on a player we did not need. Then comes out with rubbish about Burkes age and how he may or may not be a free in the summer, yet he tried to get a Brighton center back who was 32 year old!!!

God help us with bm, will set us back years.

No it isn't.

If I said to my boss I'm going to help you earn so much money and then I don't, I'd expect to get fired. Warnock didn't get promotion, which he said he would. Therefore he had to go

It depends how realistic those expectations are.

Would you expect to be hired if you said you weren't going to do much?

No. But if I said I would do something over a longer period of time like McDermott is.

Warnock would probably have eventually got us up but he was to brash about it

McDermott has a 3 year contract, Warnock only had 18 months.

How can some say such rubbish?

He went to sign a 32 year old from Brighton and was going pay as well. Yet says Burke is to old?

Why would Burke come to us now if bm says he's not worth the price tag? Not chance there going loan him to us, he's a first team player and a big one.

You can't have it both ways, you can't say it's good he's not been signed because of his age when he went to sign a even older center back from Brighton.

Are we going end up with stephen hunt who plays on the wing on a free? I would not put it past bm.

A couple of your points to take issue with:

"If you were judging George Graham on his first season you'd have said he was poor, but he moved us on in the second season"
------------
Big difference here is that under GG we were never in danger of relegation- from 2nd tier. We were perilously close under Warnock and I believe had he stayed we would have lost the Sheff Wed game and then we would have been under pressure.

"Everyone seems to be happy to write off this season and allow McDermott to build yet Warnock didn't get any time. "
-----------------

Warnock never asked for more time( thank God). He got all the time he ever wanted, stating quite categorically that he was going to retire after his contract was up, promotion or no promotion. He was convinced, and had most Leeds fans convinced initially, that he would get us promoted. He not only failed miserably in that respect, but had us playing some of the worst football in living memory. His legacy is still there for all to witness and BM has his work cut out just to clear his mess. Hence why he needs time.

where/when exactly did BM say anything about the CB from Brighton?
or were you reading the sun again, meme?

So if Leeds we're offered Burke for 600K (which we were apparently) why should we pay it when he's nearly out of contract? Are you stupid or just ignorant? I take it you don't know much about business?
