Excited about seeing all our new stars this Saturday. I wasn't originally going to this game but I'm desperate to see all our new signings so brought a ticket in the silly 'neutral' section at Craven Cottage. (Away section was already sold out).
I'm really interested to see what he's going to do with the team. How many of the new boys will be in the line up?
How many of the 'regular starters' will be replaced?
Will the boys who have been on International duty be rested?
Injured players?
Team I would choose :
..............Myhill..............
Jones McAuley Olsson Popov
..........Yacob Mulumbu......
..Amalfitano Anelka Sinclair...
............Anichebe..............
Subs -
Camp
Ridgewell
Lugano
Morrison (if fit) - Dorrans if not
Sessegnon
Brunt
Long
Not selected -
Dorrans
Dawson
Berahino (harsh. Especially after scoring 2 for England)
Vydra (injured)
Gera (injured)
Rosenberg
Reasons for choosing that team -
All the players in the starting line up have been in training all week. Various others like Sessegnon, Morrison, Vydra, Long etc who may be pushing for a starting place have either been away on international duty or are injured (or recovering). The above team will have got used to each other in training, had time to gel and familiarised with how each other play. The likes of the International and especially Sessegnon will be a little unsure of the new boys, how they play etc as Thursday will be the first time they have trained together.
Buzzing for the game and although we NEVER win at Craven Cottage, I got a feeling we'll sneak it.

If Clarke's not careful and doesn't get these defenders sorted out and marking properly and stop letting in soft goals, he'll be gone in a very few short games.

Fulham haven't been that great but they are outmuscling us in midfield.

good point but some players performances were frustrating to say the least.

Well, I have to say thank the Lord for Gareth McAuley.
It amazes me - according to the BBC stats - that both teams had 12 shots on target, Albion four to Fulham's two, and the possession percentage was 55-45 to Fulham, the corner count 5-4 to Albion. Yet BBC Live made out it was all Fulham, with two clearly-offside goals disallowed. The BBC's bias is unbelievable, not helped by my pessimism about getting a result. But a good result it is.
