Ok, so later today will see the secret launch of the NEW iphone
In true APPLE fashion this phone will probably have very little difference from the previous model (what more can you truly expect a phone to do?). Are any of you in the "must have" category that will be phoning for the preorder come Friday?
We now have phones with 6.5" screen. 1.9Ghz quad core processors, 4G is almost among us giving potential download speeds of 42.2mpbs, cameras upto 20mega pixels. WHAT more do you want your phone to have?
Technology freaks out there!!!!!

I don't have a problem with Apple's products per se, but the issue is what they charge for the damn things when other companies can sell devices with equivalent feature sets at a MUCH lower price.
Reliability is not an issue these days, because the other companies have had to raise their own bar in order to remain competitive.
As Jay says, they've (Apple) have got their customer base exactly where they want them. Kudos to their marketing team (but not much else )

I've got the galaxy s4 and the new nexus 7 tab and both are great got the s4 for £27 a month, that's about as much as I'm willing to spend, I won't change phone until it breaks, it will be able to do everything I want for 3-4 years at least

So Samsung et al are all about the customer, are they. Is that why it's almost cheaper for me to buy a new Samsung printer than to buy an imaging unit for my old one.
They are all scr**ing us in some way, I just don't believe that Apple are much (if any) worse than the rest. I think they are an easy 'hate' company because they have been so successful, and if there's one thing a lot of people don't like, it's people/companies who are successful.

I don't dislike Apple because they're successful. I've said it multiple times - I've no issue with the fact that they've got a massive consumer base and that they can release products knowing full well they will sell. It is the massive hype behind every single little thing that they do, the iPhone 5 in particular.
It's the same as an iPhone 4, basically, and you had people queuing around the block for it because Apple decided to hype it up as innovative in their conferences. That is what I don't like, re-selling an identical product whilst claiming it is completely different to the previous one.
