It's been proof that Man U players or no Man U players in the team, England are no better and no worse against the best team in our group. We haven't misses Rooney for 100% certain; Welbeck? No evidence at all that he would have found any more space against Ukraine than any of the other forwards. Clean sheet? Enough said. Average or not, they've done a job. I hope it's gotten through Hodgson (and more to the point, the FA's) block head that you do NOT need Man U players in the England team, simply because they play for them....

We've got a bunch of average premier league players there, some of them good, but we showed no ambition to win the game.

The game last night was crying out for Defoe, Townsend or Sterling.
You could see Woy had set his stalls out for a point by not bringing either of them.

At least with defoe he stretches teams and has some inventiveness in front of goal. Ricky Lambert although a decent player is not our future.

I always watch England games because im extremely patriotic but i always feel let down, bored and regretting giving up two hours of my life watching players that lump the ball forward, cant pass the ball and string more than three passes together.
