Worrying we haven't rejected their bid yet, suggesting they're considering the sale. Be very disapointed if this happened. Don't think it'd be the best move for him. He's only 26 so it's not a now or never PL move for him. We have a much brighter future than Blackburn.
We've found a partner for Sol in Mills who seems to be perfect for him and we're creating conditions in which Bamba has the best chance of prospering because he can be one the best CB's in this league on his day.
I would only accept if he hands in a transfer request.

Sven has plenty of options in this position which is probably another reason why he has accepted a very good offer of £3M.
Tunchev
St Leger
Ball
Berner has even played there.
Anyone else?

I'd echo everything KTF said Keith, and only add that Bamba is a bit of a flair player; you might even call him a luxury player at times. He loves to get the ball on the deck and play it / run out of defence, and occasionally he will choose this option at great risk as opposed to just hoofing the thing. He'll drop the odd clanger as a result, but he'll also play the odd blinder. Inconsistency really is the word - when he's at his best he's more than good enough at the PL, when he's having a bad day you really do despair. Concentration is also an issue - he tends to up his game against the big teams but fall asleep against lesser opposition. He's a bit like Titus Bramble in many ways, but with much more natural ability.

Being brutally honest, St Ledger is a far better player and if we had more cover (i.e a fit Tunchev) I would let Bamba go immediatly.
This is not sour grapes (and I am deeply suspicious about this rumour) but the problem with Sol is that he thinks he can play !
If you like your CB's dwelling on the ball and charging up-field trying to win the game on their own, then he is a real gem. But if you are looking for a defender that heads the ball away, does the simple things - he ain't your man.
Absolutely with Madness and KTF here. Gets the crowd going but in my opinion, as a defender he is a liability.

lcfcprawnsandwich - I think that Bamba, when he has a player like Mills next to him, is less inclined to recklessly charge up the field because he knows he'll get a rollicking when he gets back; which he never would have got playing with the likes of Bruma. This is why I feel he'll prosper playing with someone like Mills.
I actually don't mind him coming forward to support the attack if it's controlled and he's not just charging up the field for the sake of it. I think it helps us when we're attacking because we get the extra man in midfield which is useful when teams set-up 10 behind the ball and it makes our attacks less static.
With regards to this rumour and Stringer's tweet, why would Steve Kean tell Sky that they've put in a bid and are closing in on him? Seems odd to me. Fourth_Official has also got an impeccable record as to transfers (although I seem to remember him saying Routledge to us was a done deal). However, Stringer, in theory, should have the best sources within the club.
Heart is telling me Stringer is right and Head is telling me Sky and Fourth_Official are right.

Kean hasn't spoken to Sky at all, they've twisted words of his interview with the Lancashire Telegraph about Petrovic on Saturday.

Sorry, but the only player good enough in my eyes is Tunchev, and he's out on loan and potentially still crocked. The rest are back up not first choice.

Don't think St Leger was brought in as back up?

Sky do fairly regularly get things completely wrong but like someone has said fourth official is usually spot on.
Perhaps someone has told stringer that as a cover up, I don't know.

If Blackburn were to get him though, they would have a CB pairing of Samba and Bamba!!!
