Mouyokolo

if confirmation were needed, Wolves made the right call in paying Mouyo to go away. Doesn't seem to have the body to go with his talent. Hope he recovers well and has something else to turn to career-wise if his injuries carry on.

"Celtic summer signing Steven Mouyokolo will be out for six months with a complete rupture of an Achilles tendon, Hoops boss Neil Lennon confirms.

Mouyokolo has made two starts since signing for the Scottish champions in July, following his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury."

Missed a bullet? Didn't he spend about 4 years with us picking up lord knows how much Ohso

Its a shame for him.

THIS

Same as Hunt, who we signed in full knowledge he wouldn't be match fit for six months - whilst paying him a bloody fortune.

Blimey, we have wasted tens of millions on freeloaders since hitting the big time. Sickening.

Cinci, I know he's made good money out of us but it's not his fault. If we persist in signing players who are injured or have a bad injury record then I'm afraid you should start looking at the people that sign them and our medical team

Oh I have looked at them ohso, longggggggggg and hard

We've still got big George and Edwards so still have our fair share of sicknotes.

Its a shame for the players as I don't like to see anyone getting injured but I'd rather we're not paying their wages if they do!

bad luck for mouyo

a decent young player having watched him quite a few times at hull. as mentioned above, he just doesn't have the physique and stamina to be a professional footballer. needs a good adviser by him now to tell him to hang up his boots (probably could sell them as they won't have had much wear) before he ends up 35 and crippled.

this is a good example of why money isn't the be all and end all for footballers. does anyone really think this lad started playing thinking how great it would be to be rich and only have to play 65 times? yes, the money is a comfort and will give him an easy life if he has been sensible with what he's picked up. but i bet he'd swap half of everything to have 600+ games and the chance of medals and trophies when he retires.

He came to Wolves with a good reputation from Hull but is one of a number of signings we have made over the years where you cant help wondering if the medical didn't pick up an underlying problem, or that we did pick it up but chose to ignore it.

Accept what you and others are saying GB that he should retire. But walking away from that once in a lifetime opportunity to be paid thousands of £s a week is not easy if someone is prepared to offer it. He wouldn't be the first to ignore the long term implications for the short term gain
