What was the first game you ever went to, or your first Gers game if it took you a while to see the light and went somewhere else first Post as much detail as you can.

April 6th 1985 - I was 9.
Rangers 1 Aberdeen 2.

Sat in the Copland Road end with my Dad, he likes to remind me that I asked him early on where the commentary was :D
Robert Prytz scored a consolation, not much to cheer about - best bit was getting to see Davie Cooper, he was on different level altogether compared to anyone else on the pitch. So often even his team mates couldn't read what he was going to do and it went to waste.
Went to same fixture in September later that year, got beat 3-0 and had 2 players sent off (Hugh Burns and Craig Patterson), wondered if I'd ever see them win lol.

was a Gillingham fc game in 1973.
first Gers game was in 1976, Rangers v Ayr utd.

Surprised you didnt get a bigger response to this one armchair.
We stayed in bathgate and my dad had no car and wasnt a big footie fan really, so first game he took us (me & brother) was Airdrie v Cowdenbeath - must have been about 1970 / 71. Airdrie was the closest biggish team at the time.
2-1 Cowdenbeath I think.
Also remember him taking us to Tynecastle for Hearts v Rangers (my brother was hearts) a couple of years later. 2-1 Rangers I think (but the memory is fading).
Started going on my own regularly to Ibrox and away games about 74/75 season.
Was at Easter Road when we won the league there for the first time in a wee while in 1975.

First football game I went to was Doncaster Rovers v somone (no-idea who) lol
MY first game at Ibrox was Rangers v Parma in the CL qualifier. What a first game btw!!!!!

First fitba game was Crusader v Linfield in 1979.
First Rangers game was against the Arabs at Ibrox,in the Copeland Rd with bears giving D Dodds,the elephant man,treatment.Think it was 83/84 season on a cold Feb night.
I was simply in awe,with the size of crowd and Ibrox,having been used to a few thousand at Belfast Linfield games.
First Chelsea game was 86,August/Sept,v Shef Wed..........top banter in the Shed.

Talking of first game bbab and your Chelsea comments reminded me of the fact I am a massive NFL fan and I have supported the Broncos for 28 years now and I have never seen them live - ever. I honestly cannot wait until I see my team live in front of 77,000 people. Watched them my whole life until stupid am.
