There was talk on WM last night of Jamie O’Hara potentially being the answer to our lack of creativity in midfield.
This got me thinking. Which (if any) of our prodigal sons can you see ever pulling on a Wolves shirt again.
The following are currently on loan:
Hennessey (Yeovil)
Boukari (Sochaux)
Doumbia (Valeciennes)
Margrietter (Copenhagen)
Johnson (Wednesday)
Ward (Brighton)
Plus we have Jamie O’Hara still with us and to throw two other names into the mix Ebanks-Blake & Hunt are still unattached.
So who do you think may play for us again and how would you feel about it?
Hennessey is obviously the most likely, I’d have no problem with Boukari having another shot with us and although we are well covered for LBs now Ward has never been the hate figure with me that he is with others.
Doumbia, Magrieter, O’Hara & Johnson have, I think, burnt their bridges with us entirely but if we are short of cover I’d have no problem with re-signing Sylvan or Frodo.
The return of the prodigal son(s)?

McCarthy's objective was to progress above a relegation struggling team in his third season in the top flight and he failed to do that. So it was quite right his job was under threat although what everyone with a brain was saying was don't sack him unless we had someone better lined up. And of course we didn't have. As time has shown we would have unquestionably been better off if we hadn't sacked him at all.
Solbakken had no credits at all. His team were terrible to watch. They were getting worse rather than better. And I am not sure how 3 wins in his last 17 games was a sign we were going to improve our position to mid table. In fact his last 4 games in charge were amongst the worst I have ever seen from a Wolves team, and I have been watching them for quite a few years.

This is the bit where Wolfie interjects with "But we did have somebody lined up - Alan Curbishly".

In fairness bute that's not a daft thing to say, curbs son was on twitter calling it a done deal, and Bruce was angry after being offered it and then ditched.
Morgan messed that situation up.
Both managers rightly came under pressure for me, it was kicks third season, the side was strengthened, we should have been improving.
Stale lost good players, added players we expected more from but made little impact, so also got grief, but for me you should not be sacking managers that early in a tenure, again, unless you have a better option in place, we didn't.

If we had kept Stale we would be playing Juventus now, as opposed to Shrewsbury.

No we wouldn't. It would be tomorrow.

Micks final season was a disappointment. Stale's was a complete disaster. Sacking someone early in a tenure when they are so clearly not up to a job is fully justified. That applied to Connor, Solbakken and Saunders. The criticism over Morgan and Moxey is for appointing them in the first place, not for sacking them.
Virtually every debate I hear on tv and every conversation I have with supporters of other teams about why Wolves are where they are comes up with the two same questions all the time;
Why did we sack McCarthy?
How did we get relegated from the Championship with the players we had?

Question one. Because he failed to meet the targets set and had lost the dressing room.
Question two. Those same players who did not perform for mick had no interest in performing in the champo, pointed out by a player actually at the club. Even if we were manager less they should have been able to keep us up, clearly they had no desire to put effort in.

What were the targets set? I haven't heard that one before.
Careless to have lost the dressing room. I hope someone found it and handed it in.

If McCarthy or Jackett had been in charge last season we would have gone close to promotion with exactly the same players. The fact we were relegated was down to very poor managers

i am inclined to agree it takes a certain type of manager at times, given the issues it did appear stale didnt know how to deal with it.
It was found at the start of the summer this year when KJ turned up Bute
