Feel sorry for the guy but having a big mouth only gets you so far

Why do you feel sorry for him? He's had plenty backing, bought 12 players or something and has been given everything needed to improve them.

'Andy' sums it up
It's obviously early days and there's a lot of football to be played.
That aside, being a very good player rarely equates to being a top manager as many of the current managerial positions show. Two completely different jobs.

The Posh play the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light in the League Cup on Tuesday night. Not a game Di Canio will be relishing ...

If you have a liverpool flop in Borini leading the line....what do you expect?
DiCanio seems to have the ideas....but are the club willing to take a risk and stick with him and his methods?

Sunderland make QPR from last season look like world beaters and Hughes like the special one!

Not a Sunderland fan, however I am a little surprised at the backlash Di Canio is getting. The team he inherited was poor, O'Neil's final season indicated some of signings being mediocre.
Take players like Bardsley into consideration too, passed out in a casino. Tweeting hahaha at his employers defeat. Any wonder why Di Canio is trying to replace what's rotten about your club? Cattermole is a player that's been regarded as quality, yet, all I see is a player sent off on several occasions per season meaning he's not playing 20% of the season.
PDC has signed a lot of European players with no PL experience. That is a risk bit compared to the deadwood, little desire, deadbeats in your squad previously at least he's trying to build a squad with players who will perform, once settled. The fans sure are helping there with their booing.
PDC had a similar problem at Swindon with drink culture, got rid of the problem and achieved promotion and a play off slot in League One. Time for a little patience.

Bardsley wasn't passed out in a casino. He was lying surrounded by money he'd just won..
