Desperate for a cup run this year, so not the best of draws. Deffo a winnable game but Arsenal have started the season well. Unsure as whether their first team will be playing or whether Ozil and co. will get a rest.
I'm also unsure on how we'll shape up. Certainly our strength in depth should mean a great oppertunity for a cup run. Maybe some players will be rested.
Injury doubts -
Matej Vydra - close to a return but might be too soon
Zoltan Gera - as above
George Thorne - as above
Steven Reid - as above
Chris Brunt - groin
Shane Long - SHOULD BE FIT
Ben Foster - Long term
Team I'd go for -
.................Myhill.............
....Jones Dawson Olsson Popov...
.................Yacob..............
Berahino Dorrans Sessegnon Sinclair
................Anichebe...................
subs -
Camp
Lugano
Ridgewell
Morrison
Mulumbu
Long
Anelka

We played quite well last night though Kanga so it's positive in the end.
I tell you what though. What a player we've got in Sessegnon. He was immense last night. Sinclair looked dangerous aswell.
Did you get to watch the Sunderland game kanga? We've signed another cracker in Amalfitano.

Hard to judge from League Cup Show highlights because we all know how awful they are.
Sinclair didn't look that great against Fulham, I know he was a sub but.. so its good to see an improvement there.
Be interesting if Sess can keep this sort of form going if he's is performing as what you are saying. Maybe a change of club has sparked him back to that player a lot of top clubs were interested in at Sunderland.
I'm sure Steve Clarke man manage him well.
Nah I didn't, saw MOTD highlights though. I saw that he was whipping them in the same as he did against Fulham.

Was at the game last night, very impressed by Sessengnon, not seen him that much before, but looks very good. Quick, strong, and can shoot.

They just can't touch Sess. He strides past players and the only way they stop him is bringing h down. He's already got about 8 players booked in the 2 games he's played.

Again only judging by highlights (sorry) but it seems wide areas around the opposition box are getting more space now with him in the team.

Amalfitano was making every use of that.
With Sess drawing these free kicks, Brunt won't be struggling to make the side for a while.
Well as long as Dorrans isn't on free kick duty I'll be happy anyway

Dorrans was beyond awful last night.
And Rosenberg has played his last game in a baggies top IMO

Managed to get a decent stream on the laptop for the match last night and nearly threw it across the room when Rosenberg missed again in ET.
What the fluck goes on in his head. Surely SC can't afford to play him in any premier game?

Anelka Vydra Anichebe were all injured. The 2 A's are fit for United though.
So other than Long, who was out for a month before yesterday...,and Berahino, who played out wide....Berg was the only other fit striker.
I don't think (hope) he'll be required to use him again!
Surely you saw more positives from the game than just picking out Berg though, tidy?

Loads of positives, JH. I couldn't be harsed to write too much from my phone.
Sess was awesome. Sinclair, Berahinio were excellent...
Popov wasn't - needs to learn how to trap a ball and Dorrans, Long huffed and puffed.
I think we are going to be moving on as a team without some of the names we have beeen used to for the last few years.
