Was anyone surprised by Tuesday night? I wasn't personally, we always go out first round. Anyway to Saturday. Southampton at home. A match with a lot of expectation! Southampton will be expecting to follow up their great win over Leeds with an equally important victory over us to maintain their momentum. We, however will be expecting the Reds to get our first 3 points of the season at home to one of the newly promoted teams following that valuable point away at Forest. Will our pretty patient passing, that promised so much in pre-season, work? Or will we have to employ a more direct approach? Will be interesting... You Reds!!!

I guarantee it's only a matter of time, before we start to hear the the cries of "get it forward". Doubtless the same people who bemoaned us becoming a long ball side (which under MR, we ultimately did)

Like your optimism Maximus
I think we may see another 0 - 0 draw on Saturday (not that I want that to happen)
