he still offers alot more than soldado imo, dragging defenders out of position for others etc, its not all about scoring for a striker(of course its a big part though), i dont think tottenhams slow build up play this year is helping him either but i suppose he needs to get used to a new system and style of play

His general play is nowhere near Soldado but he's on form at the minute. The Chelsea back four must know Defoe inside out.. give them a Spanish Soldier to deal with.. unleash JD in the last half hour
