This was a duplicate match thread, so I've edited it.

Folk can't keep blaming everything on lack of money. Most of the teams above us have squads that were put together for far less than we've spent on the players we have. It's more to do with managerial ability to get the very best out of whatever resource you have at your disposal. DF just doesn't have that skill ..and the players seem as if THEY don't think he knows what he's doing either. The DF CV was based on nothing more than Palaces's good run when he was managing there - fooled PG of course .... but take Zaha out of that equation, and they would have been a bottom half outfit. Luckily for them - they got a decent manager in when PG fell over himself to bring DF to Bolton.
I was convinced he was the wrong appointment for us from day 1 (as with Megson) and, like GM, he's done absolutely nothing to change my opinion of him. He'll go the same way too ..question is ... what sort of shape will our club be in, by the time the ' penny (finally) drops ' with PG & ED??

SWIE I agree that managers ultimately take the credit/blame for results and more often than not it's right that they do. All I'm saying is that in our case the last two managers have had poor cards from the start and have had to try and achieve a great deal with very little.
As to DF being the right or wrong man firstof I didn't really know anything about him as a manager when he came to us and frankly I don't know much more now.
What strikes me as odd is that a squad that came within spitting distance of the playoffs thanks to an amazing late run in the second half of last season under the same manager can now look so dreadful and lacklustre this. I think Dougie has (at most) four weeks in which to prove he can turn it round or PG will drop the boom on him anyway. Personally I think if I was Ed Davies I'd wanna drop the boom on Phil Gartside as well.
PS SWIE I totally agree with you on the ED and PG fiasco. In fact I wrote an article on the subject of who is to blame for the current mess a little while ago. In case you missed it here's the link:

Have a look at the BBC championship main page, there is a link copied below to the Championship club by club preview. Have a butchers and weep or laugh.
Based on what everybody thought and expected he deserved to go before Clough but I'll be ok with Monday morning it may help the week go by.

Nuns,
If you are out there bud your source better keep a low profile. According to the Sunday people DF has a mile leaking team news. And yes nuns has been getting the team right as early as Friday for a while.

I'm embaressed by all of these comments. Sack the manager again? Great plan - works everytime eh? Towards the end of last season you were all (yes all) singing his name and towards the end of this season you will all be doing the same.
