Yes but there's a big difference in that most Forest fans wanted Billy back whereas most Derby fans are not particularly excited by McClaren being manager (from what I can tell). Billy's record at this level is significantly better too.

personally I'll be very sad if they appoint McClaren. I enjoy the derby games more than any other each season. Shame if they go down to league 1 and we can't look forward to any more for a few years. Though there is a strong chance we would be in that position anyway once we go up.

With the right players Schteve may be OK it just depends on weather Derby have the players to fit in with his style of play. He tried to get us playing a zonal marking system (something none of our players were used to) I seem to remember the same bit of commentary every game 'the ball is crossed beyond the far post, it's been headed back across the goal and xxxxxxx nods the ball home'.
Dutch players are brought up on zonal defence but it is totally alien to most English players. Schteve ,almost overnight, turned one of the tightest defences in the division into the leakiest.

Billies teams are always motivated to play and thus are entertaining to watch. Arry is up there on the back of one nil wins. Like Bill he knows how to get out of this division.

Mclaren on the other hand provides neither a promotion push, or entertainment. We all know how close we came to relegation. Has he learnt anything at QPR ? certainly not picking players I would have thought!

Has Schteve read the Job Description this time? Perhaps they could appoint marthur as DOF too. He knows everything about Football and can do the Exec role too.
