prem games, some of our supporters are already calling for Soldado to be axed in favour of Jermaine Defoe. What! So Soldado, who has been at the club just five minutes is already being called a flop, despite having to the lead the line against two of last season`s top four already this season. Come on give him a chance, he needs at least six months to really to get to grips with the job. And I am sure against some of the lesser lights of the prem, the goals will start to flow. And I know Defoe is scoring goals in the cups, and I really like him, but no way would I trust him to deliver if he was reinstated as the main man. Defoe has had plenty of chances in the past to cement a regular start, and in the main has not delivered, so he will just have to be part of a squad, and if is chance comes through injury to Soldado then he will have to show he means business this time around.
On another note, surely AVB has to find a place in the first XI for Sandro, the midfield needs an enforcer, certainly against the top sides, and Sandro fits the bill perfectly, Parker did that job last season, but Sandro is a much stronger and younger version, and could make the difference between one point and three points in the tight games.
Unbelievably, after just half a dozen

You might want to have another look at the goal Messiah, it wasn't his best touch but it was a lay off for Siggy.
Honest to god I've looked at it over and over he tried to chase it down!!!

Soldado needs time to adjust, the only way he will get that is with game time. Dropping him now won't do him any good at all, and to be honest smells more like a knee jerk reaction to Defoe scoring against poor opposition
----------------------
No, not a knee-kerk. He hasn't scored from open play in 6 games now, and hasn't offered enough all-round to be certain of his place - the team scoring just 4 open-play goals in 6 games.
Nobody is sayying sell him . Just that if you aint doing your job, somebody else should be given a chance in the meantime until you find your form again. Europa duty

Did I even mention selling him
Dropping him isn't the solution, neither is just giving him Europa games...he's already proved he can score in those

How many PL games from now can Soldado go without scoring before Defoe etc gets a start ??
So with Spurs needing a GD > +30 to get 76 PL pts, give me a number, not "give it time" .

Exactly....
How many games do we give it?
8?
10?
18?
He has started six and hasn't scored in open play. He has had chances too. We did buy him to score goals after all.
A few Europa games while he finds his shooting boots may do him good, get among the goals again, and give Defoe a chance to prove his worth too. Win win

Strikers have fragile egos. And any run of blanks is not good.
And we are a squad now. Getting the PL GD into the 30s is most important, not the scorer.
Get him back on the scoresheet against Anzhi, trust Defoe to bully the s. The week after AVB can take stock for the next PL game.

You don`t give him any, you don`t pick the team, AVB does. Luckily for us all.

Is that your response to somebody having a differing opinion, to call him a numptie. Your not that good at debate then are you. I respect your opinion, and don`t go around resorting to calling you a numptie, because your opinion differs from me.
