Arsenal's Fantastic Run- And us just behind

So Arsenal are on an incredible run, spreading over the end of last season and the start of this season.

well so far this season, we have had tougher fixtures, and are 2 points behind them. and last season, they finished only 1 point ahead of us, after displaying title winning form for a third of the season.

puts it into a bit of context. arsenal are in brilliant form, but we have more or less matched them for a while when it comes to league form.

exciting season ahead.

the question is, what will happen when arsenal finally get a couple of hard fixtures? the only tough game so far has been us at home, and we had half a new team, and the new players hadnt settled in......

the media are doing what they did with us when we went on that winning 10 games in a row or something silly last couple of seasons.... build us up to knock us down....

lets take confidence from the fact that european champions to be, Arsenal, are playing out of their skins, and only 2 ahead of us after easier fixtures

Thanks for that, makes interesting reading. Had a rough idea it would be something like that as I think arsenal and spurs have only lost about 3 league games this calendar year. Not saying we're a title contender, but if we can mange to gain about 35 points in those 15 games that's title contender form

I've maintained that this season will see a bunching of the teams at the top.

I think there will be less than 10pts in it. Certainly last seasin's top 5, probably the top 6 with Liverpool improving. Maybe even 7 at a push if Martinez has Everton going.

United were miles ahead last season but in getting Moyes they have essentially done something between Schmeichel with Bosnich or Keane with Kleberson. I think it will be a huge downgrade for them.

All of the other sides seem to have improved in either personnel, managers or both.

It's wishful thinking, but it'd be nice to fight Arsenal for a title rather than 4th place.

Imagine the gloating then though when you inevitably win it on last day
