So many pathetic children on here. 6 games into a long hard season and blind faith in our method has now paid off and anyone who questioned it isn't a real fan?
Get a facking grip.
Many of the fans who were most vocal in their dissatisfaction were bang on the money in many aspects of their opinion. On the flip side many supporters calling for total faith were right about many things too.
What next if we enter a slump, all the Wenger outers were now right? By most fans logic that would be the case (yes you giving it the biggun, I'm not gonna name names, it'll probably give you your first ever hard on).
We were going down a dark path, selling our best and rather than signing smartly we bought a lot of subpar dross (thank fack much of that has been moved on now) and if Wenger is to credit for our current great form (which I believe he largely is) then surely the signings of Chamakh, Park, Santos etc are his mistakes too. Everyone makes mistakes, especially me and yes even Wenger
Personally I've never been Wenger out but I've questioned his decisions many times because IMO they were very wrong, fans are allowed an opinion now and then...
Finally what I'd like to ask the (current) gloaters is was this summer well planned? Were the signings of Ozil and Flamini planned from the start? Will you be happy to let some other classless mug say I told you so if our season went down the pan? Because that's all you're really doing here.
It's great to see Arsenal looking like they're heading in the right direction, long may that continue.

thats fair enough and yes any talk of success this season is premature but so were the prophecies of doom in the summer. Even before we singed Ozil the fulham, fenerbache and spurs results showed the team we had deserved a CL place

We moved stadium less than 8 years ago and our net debt is now under £100m. Financially, Wenger's record is exemplar. Tied down to long-term sponsorships that we are only just getting out of has killed our commercial side in the last decade (compared to United/ Bayern/Real/Barca).
We have lost 3 finals in that time but that is still a poor showing. Wenger has signed poor players. He has also signed class players who have since left.
Could another manager have come in and won the PL or the CL? NO.
Could another manager have come in and won a CC or FA Cup? YES. But then again, Swansea, Birmingham, Liverpool, Spurs, Portsmouth have all won those trophies recently so they are hardly the measure of being a "good team".
The REAL measure is in the PL and since the move to The Emirates our average finish position is between 3rd and 4th. Considering the spending power of Chelsea and United (and recently City) Wenger really hasn't underperformed but I wouldn't say he has overperformed that much either. He has done his best work off the pitch (with the finances) and all the while we have been playing, for the most part, attractive football.
So, longterm stability, a new stadium, the potential for massive sponsorships now allowing for increased spending power in the transfer market and trophies to surely follow.
People who say Wenger is bad for Arsenal are clueless. The grass ISN'T always greener. It's actually a horrible brown colour most of the time.

Wenger is no doubt a great manager. One of the best in our history. But he's far from infallible and has made many mistakes. Increased responsibilty at the Emirates have made him a little close minded and so stubbornly determined to do it in his own way that has failed repeatedly. And then he successfully redefined what success entails for many fans. I wish our club was run like Bayern. Unlike Real Madrid, the top brass aren't overbearingly meddlesome with the manager but they are football people who know the game and would also stand up to, occassionally question the manager and understand the game. We simply don't have that kind of administration at Arsenal and Wenger seems to be allowed too much leeway with more power than any manager in Europe is entrusted with - and he abuses it a fair bit.

In addressing the original post, you will find a lot of people lashing out at the so called "Wenger outers" solely because of their behaviour during the summer. We are winning and everything is going well so it's easy for people to forget but there was some disgusting attacks on Wenger and the team in general. Disgraceful behaviour towards a man who has done so much for us. People who thought we would make good signings and do well this season were slaughtered on this forum so how can you not expect people not to come out in defiance now we a r currently one of the best teams in Europe.
Some of us spent the entire summer in frustration constantly reiterating to be patient and that things would be good this year. We were able to see through the the media bull, like emperors new clothes. Some of us banged on about how listening to morons like piers morgan and red tops was foolish. so now it's looking good this season its inevitable people will bring up the fact they saw it coming.
Consider 2 things
1) how would the Wenger attackers have reacted if we had been poor this season? (Just look at reaction after villa game) there would be a whole lot more told you so's than there are now.
2) If these Wenger outers had not spent whole summer with negativity then there would be no reason for people to say told you so now.

The Godfather,
Absolutely get your point, as I did yesterday too.
The point is, despite our great start, we are far from home and dry. Let's give it 15-16 games in the league before going overboard. Too many false dawns in the past to now assume after 6 games we are title favourites.
Wenger made some serious, serious mistakes in the summer. How have we been left with £120m odd in the bank, yet only Giroud as a recognized PL quality striker? We had 3 months to sort this out.
Some of the comments regarding Wenger over the summer were pathetic. People calling him a c/nt, absolutely disgusting.
All I am saying, is that it's far, far too early to be saying I told you so.

You can hardly compare Bayern and Germany business with what Arsenal face in the PL League. But yes both clubs are very healthy businesswise.
