Whilst Townsend at the moment is a safer pair of er... feet, i'd like to see Lamela given a start on Sunday. I know he was poor last night but the guy needs games to get up to speed. His touch is sublime so there's something there. His passing was woeful though and his positional sense isn't great. I'm worried we've gone and bought an Aquilani. Storms it in Serie A, awful over here. I really hope he comes good.

Townsend for me.

He's in great form. Dropping him for Lamela is not the way to go.

It's hard because I know Lamela is an unreal player and it's clear he is so talented but he's probably taking the longest to adapt at the moment. This is fine because he is so young but we payed a lot of money for him and I would like to see him start in the league personally. He showed his class when he come on against Cardiff and set up Paulinhos goal. Luckily we have a great squad and he's still getting games but would like to see him start in the league.

No rush with Lamela. It happens when it happens.

I'm thinking by the Xmas period, another 4 EL games and the 2 probable LC games for him to find his feet.

I like at least one pacey wide player to be honest anyway, especially with Siggy on the other side. Townsend has earned the shirt so far, Lamela not really staking a claim properly yet on last night's showing.
