Brad on the bench again last night, whats the story with that?
Has AVB got no faith any more in Brad?
not really a criticism as such but I did expect to see him playing last night. Seems a bit weird to play Lloris in games like that when hes playing all of the league games

+ the fact that at brads age if Lloris does get injured hes gonna be 1 way rusty keeper if hes not playing games?

I'd rather see Lloris play as many games as possible. Especially considering he looked kind of dodgy in the early part of the season, he should plqy as often as possible to repair any cracks, however tiny, in his confidence

I assume Lloris will play away at Sherif.
Then Brad will get at least the final 3 group games as well as the remaining League Cup games this year.

Keepers are like strikers...The more they play, the more confidence they have and the better they play..
Why change a keeper?
An outfield player covers more of the pitch so a rest benefits him. Not the same with keepers

I think Brad probably accepts now that to keep changing goalies every other match is not a good practice. I am sure he is a great professional, and does not mind sitting on the bench after all the good years he has had. Some of our players that have left over the past few years should take a look at Brad, and see what loyalty really is.

"Why change a keeper?"
Possible injuries. Your own comment only reinforces this.

Brad's so slow he changes the way we play. The back four can't push up, leaving us short on width and with less pressure on the ball.. we need a decent young keeper to learn off Hugo imo.

Exactly Friedel will be no use to us if Lloris picks up an injury if hes not played for ages?
At his age he'll cease up

I reckon AVB is using Lloris in the Europa to be certain of sorting the group out quickly. A win at Sherif means probably needing at worst 2 pts from the final 3 games. So Brad can play in those games pressure-free.
The League Cup is more interesting.
If AVB went with Brad for Villa because of the "2 days of recovery" blurb, the Hull game is 3 days after a PL game.
