Hector, given you're supporting football of the standard of English Pub teams, its hardly surprising that you haven't heard of Ben Foster or any quality player south of the Scottish border and any comment given from north of that border is irrelevant

Fraser Forster is better than any English keeper. Priced himself vs Barca numerous times.

Forster is a fantastic shot-stopper, but ffs don't expect him to kick a ball in a straight line, woeful!

It's as though Joe 'slippery' Hart is the only English gk in the prem.
They even asked the question of just how many English keepers there are. Ben wasn't mentioned. ....grrrrrr

I'm still convinced Foster is the best English keeper out there after Hart and if he was fit he should be Englands no1 based on form.

In truth though I am not that fussed whether he plays for England. It's a poisoned chalice and if he ends up making a mistake his career, the media will never let him recover as Carson and Green found. Even though he is a far better keeper than both and possesses a lot more self confidence I'd rather not go through it all. Right now his club form is all I'm bothered about.

I think it's precisely because Ben Foster is out long term injured that he's not being mentioned. Let the media go on about Forster and Ruddy all they like, it doesn't bother me. Joe Hart is useless, vastly overrated.

Of course it is Aries. Were it not for his injury Ben would probably be in the team right now. If anyone knows the merits of both keepers it is the current English manager.
