This chap had a great game against us yesterday - at least in the first half before Nastasic started to get the measure of him. Apart from his performance what also impressed me was seeing him being applauded off by the City fans when substituted. I can't recall that happening to any opposition player since Thierry Henri at Maine Road.

So he's left the club with strikers who can't score?
He did very well at West Brom last season. Baffling why after a penalty miss in a cup game Jose bins him having said he was going to get his chance this season?

He's quality and Everton are better for him being at Goodson and Chelsea need that type of player.

I think it's a pretty clever move actually. If he's not really going to get much game time at Stamford Bridge this season... Everton will be up there but they won't challenge for the title, it makes sense for Chelsea to strengthen them so they can chip points away from us, Spurs, United etc, but when they come to play Chelsea will be weakened because Lukaku can't play against his 'parent club'.

I thought first half we (Everton) edged it and think our shout for a penalty with lukaku was stronger than the one given.
Second half though city were different class and probably weren't in top gear. I thought after Wednesday's game city would tire and we could get the winner but the goal before half time was the killer and we just didn't perform for any period of time after that.
No shame at all in losing to city away we can't always win their and aguero was on fire.
You look the strongest of the title chasers ascend have obviously the best and deepest squad. Hard to see anyone being above city at the end of the season of they stay focused and Hart finds form.

You have a quality player in Barry and lukaku, glad Gaz Baz wasn't playing against us he's excellent at shielding the back 4.
