So, we lost Mick's lynch pins in the shake up. They have gone on to play in the Championship and arent they doing well?
Berra is scoring for fun and being a rock at the back of the Ipswich defence. He has shored up that defence and Mick has been able to build upon that. Seb was rumoured to be joining Mick to bolster the fire-power, the tractor boys are sure to rise up the league.
Wardy is setting Brighton alight with his silky no nonsense wing back play. Shoring up the left side of the seagulls, he is now providing the killer crosses for the goals.
Now had we kept these three players, we would be top of the league and running away with it. As we let them go, along with Karl Henry (who incidentally is destroying all in his way at QPR with several MoM awards under his belt already) we would have a better goals against tally than we currently have.
Had we brought Mick back in the Summer, then we would be looking at fast fluid attacking wing play.
These were indeed the days my friend and they really did end. No singing and dancing wherever we may be.

I think maybe it is an amalgamation of two common forum words
Ban and tatter = banter

You wouldn't believe it BUT it's true - I've seen Germans nearly come to blows arguing what is the correct way to speak English, with an English or an American accent !

Vomment is still my favourite. Perton’s greatest contribution to forum life was to accidentally come up with that compound word. I even added it to a Wiki page on internet phrases but they deleted it
