Started life as a freshwater MC. Like any of the creative pool of Barce midfielders, he developed skills (legs from fins) that enabled him to be multi-faceted anywhere across the idfield and even as far as an auxiliary-forward. In time he could breather on dry land.
If you look at (for example) Iniesta, Xavia and now Fabregas, all started life as fairly orthodox central midfielders. The Barce system nessesitates that any 'creative' midfielder be intelligent and mobile enough to play anywhere from the halfway line upwards. Believe that
