Underrated player IMO Murphy.

Should have got more England caps.

He's said it many times how much he regrets leaving when we signed Alonso and he should have stayed to fight for his place. Nevertheless he had a good career afterwards but the 3 wins at OT stand out.

Don't want to seem mean, but that's not much of a fight IMO. Danny was a good squad player, but thinking he could have fought it out with Xabi for a starting place?? Not a chance. Good lad though.

Xabi was a bit of an unknown quantity in the prem and england i think for most people to be fair back then,think danny eventually would of been ousted,but an honest reflection of himself,that's what i like about him,he's a great proffessional.

Well that season Biscan got a fair few games. However we won the CL that year so the rest is history.

I remember Danny saying he didn't want to play for another foreign manager.
