Gomis

Not sure we need Buaben (although he's also training with United) as Rankin's been pretty strong in that position.

Hope this doesn't mean Souttar is off. Would rather have him, but still delighted Gomis is back. Might be harsh if he ousts Paton, but he's so much better on the ball.

It does look like Souttar is off with this news.

I can't see Gomis being ready for first team duty for a few weeks yet, and even then he'll take a few games to get back into things. If I'm honest I'm not that excited about this but I guess we do need competition in those places.

As for who he replaces, I can see it being Rankin that gets left out. Both left footed, both like to get involved further up the park whereas Paton likes to just sit and shield. I think it would be a shame on Rankin though.

Bit disappointed by the picture of him on the website, his teeth have gone a bit yellow! No longer will you be able to see them in the dark, so luminous were they.

Hopefully his play still sparkles.

Would be a bit harsh on Rankin if he gets left out as he has played pretty well so far this season, still I hope Gomis at least comes on as a sub at the St Mirren game (my next visit) so we can get a round of 'Jimmy Gomis fu@k!ng hates Dundee' if he sneaks a goals (very unlikely I know) we might even get the whole stadium singing <musical note>

Jackie seems to see Paton and Rankin as his 2 players sitting in front of the back 4.
Don't see Gomis replacing either of them.
In fact don't see him replacing anybody in the team just now.
Can't say I'm over excited by the signing.
He did well and then left.
