Your current England XI?

Disregarding injuries, call-ups etc, what do you think is the current best England XI?

Hart

Johnson
Smalling
Cahill
Baines

Carrick
Gerrard

Walcott
Rooney
Sturridge

Lambert

Subs:

Forster, Gibbs, Jenkinson, Ferdinand, Wilshere, Barkley, Ox, Milner, Hooper.

Obviously some players have a lot to prove, but this is what I,d go with.

Other players I feel should be included in the squad that aren't currently are: Agbonlahor, Redmond, Barry, and Huddlestone.

I wouldnt say its shiiite, its very good, barring the inclusion of young. He is an awful player.

Sorry I didn't include an Everton player, Alice.

I was sitting on left wing for ages, couldn't actually think of anybody better. However if you cast your mind back to Capello's last year, you'll remember Young was one of England's best players and played very well, when England played good fast attacking football. He'll never be that under Hodgson as he plays defensive wingers. Good that he changed it for last night but by that time I was already bored watching England, so went bowling instead.

I see your point, but if england are to advance then we need to oust players like young. asap.

All he does is aimlessly lump cross after cross into the box.

I don't know on the set up but Barkley and Townsend should be involved. Need to cut Lampard's involvement.

Who do you suggest? For me Chamberlain isn't yet ready to be a first choice on the international stage. Townsend has had one good game but he can't even show any sort of consistency for Spurs. Downing would only be any use if there was a big man up top and the likes of Sterling are even less ready than Chamberlain.

Since Joe Cole became crap, England have went back to the same problem on the left wing that was always there, when dreaming of Giggs playing there and now they dream it's Bale.

I suppose as somebody suggested earlier Baines could be tried there but again, he's more of a crosser.

Id rather use that position to give the youngsters valuable.experience rather than waste time with ashley young.

Whether that means ox, sterling, zaha pr redmond. I dont care. I just do not want yo see young play for england again

Walker

He shouldn't even be getting in the Spurs team with the way he has played the past season and a bit.
