Venue: Wembley Stadium Date: Friday, 11 October Kick-off: 20:00 BST
Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley will miss England's two remaining World Cup qualifying matches at Wembley because of a calf injury.
The only other absentee for England in Friday's match is Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole, 32, who has a rib injury. He has been replaced in Hodgson's squad by Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs. His absence means Everton's Leighton Baines, who has won 19 caps and scored in England's 5-0 win over Moldova last year, is likely to start against Montenegro
England currently lead Group H by one point from Ukraine and Montenegro.
Montenegro are expected to be without captain Mirko Vucinic, goalkeeper Mladen Bozovic, centre-back Marko Basa and midfielder Miodrag Pekovic because of injury.
England need to win both matches at Wembley to guarantee World Cup qualification.
They must finish top of the group for automatic qualification for the 2014 finals in Brazil, while second place would mean a two-legged play-off in November.
If reports are to be believed we could see Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney, Andros Townsend and Danny Welbeck starting against Montenegro.

The breakthrough!
Excellent run from Andros Townsend down the right, he beats his man before crossing in, it's headed out to the edge of the box to Danny Welbeck. Welbeck's shot is not the best but good enough to test Vukasin Poleksic, and Wayne Rooney gobbles up the loose ball to fire in from close range. Mass relief all around Wembley.
Sensational! What an own goal to put a huge smile on Roy Hodgson's face and send England a step closer to Brazil.
Lovely link-up play between Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck on the left sends Welbeck scampering away and his cut-back is behind Wayne Rooney - but it doesn't matter as Branco Boskovic miscues his clearance past the keeper and in from 15 yards.
---------------------------
Totally against the run of play, Dejan Damjanovic pokes Montenegro back into the game. Substitute Fatos Beciraj shoots from 20 yards and Damjanovic sticks out a left toe to divert it under the body of Joe Hart.
---------------------------------
A brilliant goal from debutant Andros Townsend! He picks the ball up in midfield, is strong enough to run away from Simon Vukcevic and then hits a swerving, curling strike from 25 yards which cannons in off the inside of the post.
Superb goal!
--------------------------------------
His goalscoring run continues, as Daniel Sturridge scuffs a penalty into the back of the net for his second England goal

Had England won 10-1 I'd have been happy but I wasn't happy with the way the goals were scored.
Perhaps a technical merit score as well, as in Ice Skating ?

we need to have scousers like dawn in tottenham saying we were rubbish
there is obviously an agenda

I can't believe someone is talking about a shot that goes in off the post as being lucky, like it could have gone anywhere because it hit the post on the way in.
We may as well start saying passes that are accurate are lucky because once a ball contacts a foot it could go anywhere.
Dawn you are mental.

First goal was lucky
Second goal was a complete fluke
Third goal was a fekking brilliant solo effort and class finish
match was over at that point
the passing by every single player in front of the back 5 was somewhere between dire and horrendous.

The lack of genuine creativity in the England team once again shone through. Great result, but only a so, so performance.
Rooney and Sturridge provide some hope, because they can produce a bit of match changing flair. Townsend made a good debut, but the reality is that there is very little to get excited about regarding the national team.

The performance was a good one. Some of the passing was stray this is true. Lampard was guilty of this and wasn't a big influence on the match. For the development of Wilshere and Barkley we need to stop relying on him as a regular. He is not the future as he is too old, and he is too slow. I'll be worried if this 35 year old is starting games in the summer heat in Brazil.

Spurtle, you're over the top with your criticism there but if that's what you think then okay. To me a ball that hits the woodwork and goes in is a touch lucky. I remember Spurs hitting the crossbar and the ball came back out, hit the goalie and went in, now that's pure spawny luck isn't it? So too is hitting the post and going in, for me it's not decisive enough. Come and join me in my mental world Spurtle because it might cheer you up and be a good escape from your boring one.

Last night was the best England have played in yonks. It was full of pace and players were trying to get past the man. Passes went AWOL at times but at least it was 35 yards out when trying to make things happen. Overall each player played quite well except lampard who was plain dire. Gerrard looked far happier and miles better when carrick was next to him, let him move forward where we all want to see him. Thought baines had a very good game and for me is better than cole now and should be 1st pick. Hopefully same level if performance on Tuesday and brazil will be booked!
