The last 3 great heavyweights to retire, Tyson, Lewis and Holyfield.
All 3 would smash up the Klitschko's.
But where do the 3 rank in comparison to eachother?
Tyson v Lewis? - Close, Lewis
Tyson v Headbutt? - Tyson
Lewis v Headbutt? - Lewis
1) Lewis
2) Tyson
3) Holyfield
Shame we have nobody on these guys level around now.
Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson. Who's best?

Paquiao turned down the biggest pay day of his career to fight mayweather. I jave give the guy props though. He seems to jave overcome his fear of needles fully. Phobias are a hard thing to deal with, so respect to Pac for getting over his so quickly.

Tyson is a scholar of the sport, he knows what he is on about.

Tyson is an admitted drink and drug addict. He was probably drunk and high.
But this thread is about Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, and the Klits.

Depends on how you're looking at this, as a career then you can't really look past Lewis. A couple of defeats avenged in style and the dominant man of his era. Holyfield and Tyson is arguable in terms of career, neither particularly close to Lewis in my view.
If you're talking putting each man at his best in a ring then I'd take Tyson over both. At his best the head movement, speed and pure aggression was top quality, far too good for Holyfield and probably too much for Lewis.
Ultimately Lewis will go down as the better HW though.

If I could have my pick of seeing any all-time great heavyweight in their prime against any other throughout history then Tyson vs Lewis would probably be in my top ten.
At least we can console ourselves with the fact that we did get to see these two fight although Tyson was shot by then and less than a shadow of his former self.
Having said that I think that fight did give us an indication of how an in their prime fight between the two would have panned out. I firmly believe that Lewis would have emerged victorious nine times out of ten even if only by points most of the time.

Why? Not necessarily arguing because it's perfectly reasonable but I just wondered on the reasons.
To me their fight was the definition of a boxer (Tyson) throwing everything he had into the first 5 rounds in the hope of a knockout. To say he ran out of steam would be an understatement!
To me that's classic underdog tactics and pretty poor conditioning, neither of which I would expect in a prime Tyson.
Lewis would need a tolerant referee to score a points victory as well, he was pulled up for pushing so often. He might even have had a point deduction? Can't remember.

Because prime Tyson would still have the same tactics more or less.
Tyson´s tactics were always to try and knock out his opponents in the first few rounds and he never really had a plan B if that didn´t happen.
Against a prime Tyson I think that Lewis would have been able to survive the initial attacking onslaught that Tyson would undoubtedly bring.
Lewis would have been far too clever with his movement and would have used his jab to keep Tyson at bay.
I actually think that Lewis vs Tyson in his prime would have been a boring fight and would more often than not probably go to the cards. I could see Lewis being very hesitant about going forward due to fear about being caught by Tyson.
If you want to watch a fight that possibly would have replicated how Lewis vs prime Tyson would have turned out then watch Lewis vs David Tua.
I´m not saying that Tua was a good as prime Tyson but they are very similar fighters both in stature and style with similar knockout power.
