I will be surprised if Liverpool make CL this season. They are battling it out with Spurs and Arsenal who are probably just a class above.

What does the 2005 CL win have to do with the 2013/14 season? Answer: Nothing.

Brian....what rubbish! !!! 2005 just like 1977 etc has a massive amount to do with "the now". Football clubs are built on history, when players talk about liverpool they talk about the now and the past.

J cole when he joined wanted to taste the kop atmosphere un the red of liverpool rather than blue of cfc, ttaht was about 6yrs after 2005.

In europe NOW liverpool are huge, yet it's beeen 4yrs ish since we have been in cl. What rivals forget (basically because their history just isn't as impressive) is that because of our history, fans and aura liverpool will arguably akways be massive, only 2 teams in europe have won more european cups / CL cups than liverpool...........think about that, only 2!!

Actually I don't think Liverpool are massive in Europe, but they are in the UK, and deservedly. I live in France now and can honestly tell you the only foreign shirts I see are United, and everyone knows United but only a few Liverpool.
Understand I am talking of ordinary people, not red hot supporters. For example we all know Ajax, but the average citizen probably thinks it cleans the toilet.
Happy if you get back in, but can't iamagine you winning anytime soon, or us actually.

Currently ranked 29th which is about right.
Next season will likely be out of the top 50.

We will be massively down in the rankings as the 25 point season drops off and we get a 0 this year..

I dont understand the whole "do we need a europa campaign" judging by the english teams recent performances (and the fact we would have a bad draw due to our co-efficient(3rd seeds probably)) even if we get into the CL the liklihood is that wr would drop into the knockouts of the europa anyway as third placed team!!
