The Poles are lucky, traditionally they've been blessed over the years with a healthy array of dependable goalkeepers.
Wojciech Szczęsny was installed as the bright young king between the sticks, keeping guard of the Polish goal for the European Championship clash with the Greeks in Poland. But fate dealt him a bad hand as in the first game of the qualifiers, young Wojciech made a rash error of judgement and was sent-off. Poland went on to crash & burn in the tournament and the young firebrand was held partially accountable.
As for the keeper situation with Polska, in no particular ordet, it goes something like this;
Przemysław Tytoń, Artur Boruc. Przemysław Tytoń, Tomasz Kuszczak, Grzegorz Sandomierski, Łukasz Fabiański & Wojciech Szczęsny.
That's a decent pool of goalkeeping talent to choose from, with some in-form cats forming a very fine litter. Boruc is the experienced, committed slightly insane "Daddy", where as young Szczęsny is really finding his feet this season with some superb displays for the current Premier League top dogs!
