Hello fellows, I was looking for some advice as to the best way to escape Pittodrie on Saturday. Union Street moves more slowly than an Aberdonian's wallet when it's their round (tortured simile), so is there any alternative to this gridlocked hell?
I have the sense of direction of a concussed housefly, so nothing too complex or I'll end up in Inverness. Usually park around Regent Walk, because it's free & relatively close to the stadium.
Many Thanks.

Cheers guys, that's roughly the way I come in (and I always come in roughly), but have never been adventurous enough to try it on the way back out. One problem is that it bypasses McDonalds, and that's a post-match tradition. Could always double-back up to the big Asda, would still likely be quicker.
There is a Burger King on that route I suppose... ugh.
12:30 should be a sensible time to leave for a 3pm kick-off, I hope. I've done the trip about 6 times and always forget what time I left last time.

There's the mcds on the dual carriageway about forfar? Either that or follow the river along and you'll come out on holburn street near the big asda at bridge of Dee.

Simple, run after banging one of their sheep, the sheer fear of the baying mob after you will make you run like the wind

Burger King is better anyway.

I came out on the main Inverness road to the north last time (major mistake) but that's the way I would head for me, probably the other direction for you anyway.
Hearing United have sold their 1400 allocation, and there will now be cash turnstiles on the day, could be 1600+ decent crowd.
Think Robson and Flood are fit

Polis normally escort the buses out so park beside them and follow them out.
