Yes BM is struggling, but who else would you bring in? Personally I don't feel there are much better, and I reckon that financially, the Bates effect is still been felt at the club. The club was a black hole financially. I'd be happy to give BM two seasons to allow the club to be back on track, and then he should be backed even more. He's clearly been trying to do it on the cheap. Yes he spent £1m on Murphy, but I'm sure he'd have rather spent £1m on a proven Championship player, but guess what? They have a higher salary, Murphy won't be on much. Wootton won't be on much. Hunt won't be on much. Smith won't be on much. We have advanced financially since GFH came in, but we can't afford to spend £1m and also give high wages. Bates sold the ST's for this season and I believe next seasons hasn't been sold, so that will be a bonus to the club too. I believe that GFH are waiting because the club is a black hole to invest in at the moment, it needs sorting out and Bates' damage will take time to heal.
