Everton U21s 0-0 MUFC U21s - FT

Will Keane is denied at the far post by the Everton keeper who gets down low and pushes the shot out for a corner.
It's been one of the more entertaining 0-0s I've seen I'll tell you that.

He's playing against kids. He should be doing well.
It's his 7th season and he's playing reserve team football and not played for his country since 2008.
He's been a unmitigated disaster of a signing. Time he was moved on.

James Weir has replaced Tom Lawrence.

Everton hit the post again with a great strike from Long who's had a very good 2nd half. He's been very dangerous.

Considering Weir is playing tonight, he won't be in the U19 squad for Wednesday. His place will probably be taken by new signing Saido Janko.

Another excellent challenge by Michael Keane. Defended very well tonight.

A cross from Everton's right side is hit into the ground and it bounces wide.
Fortunately for United he didn't get a better connection or it could've been 1-0.

United put together their best move of the half with Varela getting in behind the Everton defence for the first time this half from Weir's pass but loses control of the ball in the box.
2 minutes of added time.

FT: Everton 0-0 United
Excellent game of football. Very competitive.
United dominated the first half but the 2nd half was well and truly Everton's.
Some brilliant goalkeeping from Amos and good defending from Keane and Thorpe coupled with a bit of luck made sure United didn't lose that game
