Couple of articles in the EandS yesterday, some interesting snippets, especially good to hear some of Butlers views.

Couldn't link the other, so here it is its entirety
He is speaking as some sort of coach under DJ at Sheff Wed, in relation to Roger Johnson getting redemption at Wolves.
It says .......Johnson's story is not lost on Butler and one he has already, quietly but forthrightly, passed onto Johnson.......
"I've told him there's only one way back - you get your head down ,work your socks off and prove them wrong.
I don't know what went on with Roger but I do know what went on with me. If youre not doing it at Wolves, they let you know. I was'nt doing it and they let me know about it. But at the same time, when I got back into the team they could not have been better.
I love that about Wolves. It's uncomplicated. I remember how we used to train at Tettenhall tennis club and we'd be there in the morning getting changed next to 70, 80 year old guys who were retired and there for a game of tennis.
There'd be me, Incey and Alex (Rae) and the rest. And these guys, no messing, would say "well you were crap on saturday were'nt you".
And we had to take it but that's how it is. That kind of community thing with Wolves, that's what's so special - we loved it. Those night games at Molineux - what an atmosphere! best I ever played in and I've played on some big stages. No seriously - nothing like it.
We sit round now talking about the day at the Millenium and all that gold and black, not red - gold and black, special colours - and all our memories and the other coaches say "here they go, all our yesterday's". But that's how Wolves gets you".
He does go onto talk about Johnson a bit, but I loved this section especially, that he talked about.
I know Paul Ince said Wolves fans were the most passionate he had ever played in front of, and of course he has played for some great clubs. Alex Rae the same.

Are trying to say that everyone who goes to matches is a boo boy Sunny?
Making a sweeping generalisation, like the ones you don't like about people from America not being able to give well rounded opinion on games as they haven't seen them.
Coming froma guy who campaigns to have manager removed and players dropped from the team.
Tut tut.

Is it in onr of these articles or dids i read it somewhere else. About leaders on the pitch, think it was the Butler one.
Anyone think that is maybe part of our problem the last few years, we really do not have many ''voices'' on the pitch, or natural born leaders.
The first prem promotion we had a whole handful, especially in midfiled.

Very different recruitment policies Cinci. In DJ’s time we were bringing in older players that had that quality but were on the down slope, under MM we did the reverse.

Yeah, i get that, but leaders are leaders either way.
We seem to attract sleeping violets these days.
I thought Kmac would be more vocal but he seems happy to drift along.

Not saying that Tamwolf. But the only people who can boo players/managers are those inside the ground, not anyone 3,000 miles away.
There's never been a "campaign" to get either a manager or any players out. That's a gross exaggeration on picking up on a persons opinion of said manager/player.

Thats where I think Batth makes a difference Cinci. He is the first leader we have had at the back since Craddock. I also think thats why Stearman works well with him at the back, because he has someone who is commanding next to him.

If you say so Sunny.

A Butler, who is at Wednesday, interview in the E&S empathising with Johnson’s plight and being nice about us.
Cinci couldn’t link to it as it was in the paper but not online so he had a copy flown out and transcribed it for your reading pleasure.
