I dont think Robinson can get us promoted.

After listening to last nights disaster and attending Orient and Gillingham I am coming to the conclusion that Robinson may not be the man to get us promoted.

My reasoning for this is:

He will not detract from playing one up front, we need two strikers, like Orient, Coventry, Wolves etc etc.
He has continued with this format for too long, we are too predictable and slow in our build up.

We are now too reliant on Bamford, and certain players are not performing, ie Gleeson, Chadwick, Potter, Otsi, Flannagan.

At the Gills game we played really well despite a sending off and a walking wounded keeper, when we had Mcloud and Bamford together they could not cope with us.
Smith was also a rock at the back.

It is clear we need another centre back and striker, if Bamford goes in January we are stuffed.

I understand Karl's football philosophy but we simply must have a plan B and win dirty when required.

I am not sure if Karl can achieve this.

I don't think it's a problem with Robinson, I think it's more a problem with Winkleman. He is NOT putting in enough money to have a reasonable size squad, this could be the right way as we do NOT want to be a Portsmouth.

The fans have been patient but a little more time is needed.

I agree Robbo needs to be a bit more flexible, after all when Di Matteo was asked what style of football he would play he said a winning style, but he is in my opinion still the right man for the job. My only concern is that under him we do seem to go on longer losing streaks.

I understand why Winkelman can't put more money in but a couple of players, a target man and a strong centre half would steady the ship and even in the end stop a mutiny of the fans, who were very unhappy with the performance against Carlisle.

C'mon the Dons, I want you to join us in the Championship next season, with Robinson and Winkelman at the helm!

We would like to Thorney but I fear it might be beyond us again. You may be a yo-yo club but you seem to be finding the up yo easier each time.

I am more afraid of losing Robinson, he is loyal (a rare commodity these days) but loyalty is a two way street. There is also the question of Winklemans loyalty to the fans who pay to see a contested football match. The Carlisle match I am sure is a one off.

To throw a further point into this debate should the club be looking to extra investers (NOT Bernie Eccleston though)

I don't think we would attract investment. After all Winkie would have sold the stadium naming rights if he could. There is a big Waitrose / John Lewis presence in MK but they already sponsor Reading. ASDA might but there is no guarantee and Right Moves haven't shown any interest.

The Arabs / Russians seem to be interested in established clubs while the Arena and Training Ground are likely to be a drain for a few years and attendance seem to have plateaued at 7 to 8 thousand. The rumour was that Red Bull are looking for a club, but this is likely to be a London one.

Perhaps at the World Cup Winkie could put a for sale sign up, but then they say it's better the devil you know.
