Will AW rest Giroud for Palace?

Juve took a shot at him.
------------------
And he flopped. So much so that they questioned his commitment in training let alone getting anywhere near the first team. Thats why bigger clubs are not willing to take a chance on him or he would have gone in the summer.
Bendtner will run down his contract and go to a mid-table club in Germany or England on hugely reduced wages that more correctly reflect his talent. A mid table player who lacked any sort of desire to develop the talent Arsenal saw in him as a teenager.
Frankly this is where Wenger is let down as a manager. He is too loyal to his players. Sometimes it pays off, as it has with Ramsey recently but it also lets him down badly. Even then he finds it hard to cut the parental chord.

Just out if interest how did Bendtner flop at Juve? He was injured for 75% of the season and played a whopping 8 games.

Bendy is class and will score if we give him good crosses to feed off.

We cant cross Pete as we could witness against Dortmund.

In some ways I'd rather see Bendtner start against Palace than against Chelsea. Having said that, were he to start tomorrow and do well, then maybe give Giroud an even longer rest until the following weekend.
Ah, making such decisions is easy when you're not the manager...

And how is that not a flop? Do you think Juve paying £52k a week (though I believe we were part paying his wages) sitting on the injury table not a flop?
Was he even trying to get back or was it easier for Juve to collect on insurance. When you run a company you will find out paying wages is a cost and when an asset is not producing it is equivalent of flushing the money down the toilet.

Being injured has nothing to do with lack of skill.
------------------------
Its not one or the other. I am not saying that Bendtner is not a footballer. He clearly is. In fact I have pointed out above that one of his failings is he has never fulfilled the talent that our scouts thought he had when he was a teenager. Why hasn't he done it? Injury is certainly part of it. But so is a poor attitude, lack of aptitude, lack of sincerity, that has meant he has not acquired the skillset that he should have with the top coaches and top quality learning environment that Wenger provides his players.
Now that doesn't mean he still can't grow into that player. Giroud has done it at a very late age. Wright did it even later. But it is rare. And forgive me but I do not believe the 'born again' bull that comes from his mouth. Heard it all before.

Good point J99. I think too you can have a different and late career but your attidute towards your profession has to be spot on. I dont know if Bendy has got the right attidute.
