Bradfordshire Bantams v Wolverhampton Wolverines
Welcome soccer fans to this the 33rd meeting between these two historic clubs.
The Wolverines currently hold the upper hand over the Bantams with 13 wins and 9 ties in their previous meetings and will be hoping to continue their impressive early season form where their offence has managed an impressive 23 successful goal shots while their defence is yet to concede a goal shot in the first two quarters or any match.
The Bantam’s have matched the Wolverine’s offensive record however they have been on the receiving end of almost twice as many goal shots as their Western Middlelands rivals.
Wolverines ran out winners in their last tie against Olde Hams Athletico with third quarter strikes by Henry James & Lee McGriffin while Bradfordshire achieved a two-two tie against the fancied Northern Preston.
Last meeting:
Mickey Mouse (please be standing for the national anthem) Cup 2007
Wolverine were given victory by Freddy Krueger’s first strike for the team after being drafted from Southend Shrimpers and a 25yard conversion by the defensive specialist Jody Craddock, while the Bantams had to console themselves with a consolation 1 pointer from Kylie Nix (hey do these limeys have mixed teams? Those last two sound like chicks?).
Line up (probable):
Wolverines will stick with their tried and tested 4-2-3-1 shotgun formation (shurely shome mishtake) but are without the highly rated corner back Mathew O’Doherty:
Ikeme (catcher)
Steer-man (corner back)
Rickety (point guard)
Bart (point guard)
Golbourne Supremacy (corner back)
Price (defensive end)
McDonald (defensive end)
James (wide receiver)
O’Doyle (snapper)
Sako (wide receiver)
McGriffin (small forward)
Soccer US’s prediction:
A tightly fought game but Wolverines impressive 1st and 2nd quarter defensive record and deadly Irish offensive combination of Lee McGriffin & Kevin Doyler the Third should see them run out victors zero goal shots to two.

The biggest irony, our manager obviously had the same thoughts, clearly an idiot also
Nope. The biggest irony is that Jackett admitted he got his team selection wrong and bought Doyle on midway through the first half and it totally changed the game
So now Jackett has admitted he got it wrong we will wait for you to do the same cinci. Or better still wait for you to stop pretending to be an expert on games you haven't seen

Ummm, what did i get wrong DJ?
I wanted Doyle to start, i just pointed out that i could understand why KJ may have different views on it as he likes to crowd midfield to stiffle the opposition, and guess what, that is what he did initially

This is the problem of commenting on games you don't watch I guess. No we didn't stifle the midfield at all. Bradford were completely outplaying us, which is why he changed it to 4-4-2. Then we were on top. As we have been in every game where we have played Doyle and Griffiths up front

my apologies, i should have said, that is what he tried to do initially, Bradford had other ideas and bypassed it by the sound of things.
