I was refering to Barca's win. All in all they deserved the win.

Sad thing for Barca is if Real came to play like that with Pep in charge they would have absolutely batter Real.

Valdes made a handful of quality saves, Benzema hit the bar, and Real definitely should have been awarded a penalty. I don't remember Lopez being all that busy so I wouldn't agree

I think real had the better chances. They deserved a draw minimum Imo.

yeah and in the first half Barca had some chances. And what matters they scored twice.

Perhaps if you were arrested for speaking your native language or had family members shot and put in mass graves by Franco then you may have a slight hatred of the Castillan government.

the spanish civil war wasnt about castilla v cataluna !

it was about conservative nationalists (franco) v commies and anarchists (the republicans)

franco was a galician not a castillian anyway


cataluna is the wealthiest region in spain..its not some poor back water..
they are spanish when it suits them and claim separatism when it doesnt (such as now)
they have NEVER in their history been an independent country !
they were a county of the kingdom of Aragon, when that united with Castille in the late 15C to form Spain

Scotland has a far far more legitimate claim to independence than cataluna

most castillians i know,want cataluna out of spain...who wants "fair weather" spaniards in spain ? not castillians

in the 1930s v few ppl in cataluna actually spoke catalan !
the language was virtually dead in everyday use before franco and the civil war !

Over the border in Southern France the Occitian languages , like Gascon which are v similar to Catalan faded out of common usage in the late 19C/early 20C

France is a far more centralised country than Spain though, without the stupid regionalism that blights Spain.

Remember both Cataluna and the Basque Country extend into France !
Maybe these ppl could ask the French Government to give them land for a new country, rather than Spain ?

tbh...the amount that goes barca's was is cringeworthy....real players cldnt go near them without the whistle going...
