First off.
Credit where credit is due
Torres had an immense game today.
He really troubled City's backline.
Deserved MOTM performance I'd say and that's even without the goal at the end.
Main point of this article is when Geoff Shreeves was talking about Fernando Torres getting back to what he was before?
Just how good do we think Torres was at Liverpool?
In my opinion - He was a brilliant goal scorer for Liverpool that put him in the world class bracket but he didnt help the team. You could say he didnt need to help the team as he was banging them in left right and centre but at Liverpool for me, he was a pure out and out number 9.
I think NOW he's improved his all around game a hell of a lot.
I dont think we'll see the Torres of old that everyone wants because he's become a different player.
We've got the new Torres now. He's like a mix between a number 9 and a number 10.

wre taking the pi$$ but they are only one point behind us. Fact is they are also playing like $hit but are still getting 3 points. Real top 4 contenders this year will be battling it out with United and Liverpool I think.
