He got 2 assists. Which is anomily to my previous opinion that he doesn't go forward that much. I've noticed that he'd rather pass sideways than take in a man, but last week was different

Cissokho backing out of 50/50 balls is all I remember from him on Sat!

Sakho, it has to be said, appears clumsy and looks undecided. That's not his fault, it's early days for him. Cissokho did indeed pull out, and for more than just two 50/50 balls, Biglaa. Bearing in mind his very recent injury to his ankle, he too is still finding his feet (pardon the pun). Can either/both be classed as potential Champions League players? On what I've seen,they've each got some way to go.

Sorry Jimmy, totally disagree!
Sakho has everything a top class defender needs imo. Reads game well, strength, pace, timing of tackles (both standing and sliding), good in air, strength, plainly mad, comfortable on ball - although he does look ungainly and more strength!

Honestly think we have done really well getting him, and think he could turn out to be one of the best centre backs around.

Its just his posture that makes him loom clumsy, hes really not.

I agree in a way with JTR. Sakho has stepped in for a few tackles he's not needed to. It's either over enthusiasm or a bit of rustiness. Other than that he's done ok and seems a good presence in the dressing room.

Ilori, that was what I was trying to say. I've just watched the WBA game again, Sakho certainly wasn't top of the pile in performances. And i did say he appears, looks, etc., not that he actually was.

And, I confess, although I have been very critical of him in the past, for me that was Lucas' best game in a Red shirt. Proved wrong again, nothing new there.
