We came up a season too early. I think if Holloway had another year in the Championship, it might have been a different story.

I'll go for 3-1 to the baggies, with Palace to score first.

Buying 14 new players and expecting them to gel from day 1 was always going to be a big ask.

Palace have been a bit of an awkward side for us over the years. I remember the 2-2 in the 04/05 season, where Earnshaw scored in injury time, then Palace ran up the other end and equalized. I was almost in tears. Vaguely remember a Warnock coming here and beating us 1-0 a few seasons ago as well.

I'm glad Palace ain't got a manager in play yet. We'll nick it 1-0 with someone breaking Palace hearts late on.

Got to say Palace were definitely one of the best supported teams we've had here. Don't think I've heard the Hawthorns so subdued for a while though.

Thought we were very average today but at least a points cusion before our annual beating at the Bridge.

3 points is all that matters for me.
