I'm a football fanatic, for those who know me in a humble capacity on these boards, you'll know I'm an Arsenal fan. But I'm also a well-travelled gent and having lived and worked across the Continent I've managed to form a bond and affinity with various clubs across Europe. Below I've compiled a list of my favourite clubs that play in Europe's other leagues, whilst I'm a goo gobbler and rampant, raging fence-foal, for this man, it's not ALWAYS about the Premier League. Sure, Arsenal runs in my blood and I have Arsenal DNA and you can prove that by taking samples of my hair, nails and sperm. But what I really wanna know is;
Who are YOUR favourite clubs outside of the English Premier League. I've listed mine below;
Italy = Fiorentina
Spain = Valencia
Portugal = S.C. Farense
The Netherlands = Ajax
Germany = Borrussia Dortmund/Hertha Berlin
France = Olympique Lyonnais
Belgium = Standard Liège

Italy = Milan/Parma
Spain = Athletico Madrid
Portugal = No preference, probably Sporting as their kit is decent
The Netherlands = Ajax

Belgium = No preference at all

England = Macc Town, Watford, Wigan
Italy = Milan
Spain = Athletico
Portugal = ?
The Netherlands = Vitesse
Germany = Schalke, Koln
France = Marseille
Belgium = Anderlecht for giving us some quite nice players in recent years.
I usually find Schalke, Roma, Athletico and Masreille are all quite popular for 'favourite' abroad teams.

Ajax are actually my '2nd team'. I lived and worked in Amsterdam for a while and still have a lot of friends out there, I manage to get out there a couple of times a year on average and adore the place and ALL it stands for.
I must say, having attended a lot of games at the Amsterdam arena, it really is a bangin' experience. The fans are amazing. One of the many highlights of cheering Ajax on, is singing' '3 Little Birds' (the Bob Marley song) in unison with 10's of thousands of Amsterdammers at the top of your THC stained lungs!
