Nando

I'm still struggling to get to grips with the poor man condition. Life is fckn cruel.

I would like to say though how heartwarming it's been to see the global football world show support for Fernando.

Tims I doff my hat to you guys

Even that erse Blatter has tweeted support and the facebook support from the world of football is overwhelming.

Hey it's only a game efter all and there but for the grace of God go you or I (and you Ath )

Only 37 and a really active guy just makes it a whole lot worse, shocking

Totally gutted for him and his family, too young to be stricken with something as awful as this.

One thing we all have to accept is that life is cruel, at times horribly cruel.
What makes this worse is the fact he was a physically fit young man, the next he's struck down by a horrible, debelating disease which will ultimately take his life.
Thoughts are with him and his family. One thing to come from this is I hope that it brings this disease into the public eye so that more funding can be raised into finding a cure.

Seen a similar thread last night and didn't comment because some Eejit said some crap that virtually destroyed the article, but asides from the awful disease he has, he appears to have been a player that the Gers loved having and although I'm sure the Celtic gave him plenty off verbals would have loved to have had him, he did play with some passion and it's great to see why when it comes too rivalry that's these two boards break up and make up best.

Respect and best wishes Nando.

Absolutely gutted i think it also hits home harder when you have kids of your own, i was never scared of dieing but thinking about not seeing my little girl grow up absolutely scares the crap out of me.

God knows how Fernando is feeling, he always played with passion and earned the respect of the Rangers support i absolutley loved him when he was with us!

When it all comes down to it, the vast majority of us on here are on here for a bit of banter, and we all need bringing up short now and again. This is one such moment which shows people's true colours, just like it was when the berrz showed great respect for Jinky and BBJ.
