Big big month for us, playing big teams. Yes we lost to Chelsea, yes Mourinho has got a spell over Wenger but I have to ask why oh why is Wenger so Rigid with his tactics.
Everyone know how we are going to play, let alone who we will play. I cant remember the last time Wenger 'switched things up'. I love the guy dont get me wrong he is the best thing to happen to the club but I would love to see him change formations, take risks when losing, experiment a little.
When Podolski is back, I would like to see Wenger play him upfront to compliment Giroud trust me thats a recipe for goals.
Also against the so called big teams. Has he lost the edge? Does he have the same desire from a few years back. Arsenal used to go down fighting and perfomed when it really mattered ala end of last season but I am thinking more along the lines of Inter 1- 5 Arsenal. Milan 0-2 Arsenal. Madrid 0-1 Arsenal. Would love those days back but I have the feeling Wenger like the self belief he demands from the players. COYG

Wenger couldn't even defeat United in the unbeaten season if I remember correctly.

Jose had a well good record against Pep!
Sometimes money doesn't always come into it when the records are between the teams.
Over a season and years and years it does, and Wenger has been restricted, but I think it's an excuse to seriously believe that money is the only reason Wenger's teams haven't done that well against Mourinho and Fergie's teams because he's a fantastic manager and built capable of beatings us, and has, outplayed us.

Jose got slaughtered 5-0 by peps Barca in what was the most complete performance you are ever going to witness.
Wenger saw Arsenal couldn't get top 4 the way they were playing last season. I liked that style of play it made us very compact in defence.

"It took the great Fergie 8 years to work out Wenger. My question is if Wenger is so clueless tactically then what took Fergie so long"
8 years, what you on about. The games were 50/50 even back then.
Question is, Wenger has been in charge for many years now, why hasn't he cracked Fergie or mourinho in that time?

I think rgk was referring to head to head stats to begin with, going into the semis in the champs league in '09 wenger was leading. Since then I believe we have only beaten you once.

It's been one of his major weaknesses for long time against the big teams, mainly united & Chelsea.
There are no variation in tacts and all you get is our midfielders playing it around in middle with no cutting edge as the opposition have congested the midfield.
We got a glimpse of this on Tuesday

How can you rotate when you have so many injured players among first teamers and also among our youngsters?

I don't think you can keep using money as an excuse for Wenger's poor record against Mourinho.
For a manager as good as Wenger to have such a poor record against Mourinho is down to more than money.
It's not like Wenger had no mark teams against him. Wenger built some brilliant sides that I'm pretty sure most Arsenal fans would have been confident in going into the games with.
Same with Ferguson. He doesn't have a great record against him either. And Fergie had some facking good sides against.
As much as I dislike him, the much maligned Rafa had a pretty good record against Mourinho despite not having sides as good as either of us.
In one off games the money and squads don't always matter. Credit where it's due Mourinho is brilliant and knows...
