Gets the bullet.
Seems a bit harsh. After a sticky start in the SPFL has them doing not bad. Went out of the cup but has been in the last 2 Scottish Cup finals. Never going to get relegated this year.
Who is going to do a better job?

Mowbray might not be a bad shout you know... Can't see another championship club risking him

Alex McLeish- that too optimistic for them again?

To think Hibs had had the chance to employ Steve Clarke. Said at the time that was a stupid decision.

Jimmy Calderwood would be an excellent appointment for Hibernian- he'd get them into Europe.

I think McLeish is better than that.
Steve Clarke knows his stuff, trusted by so many top coaches, silly hibees

They have two options, look for short-term success to stablise the club financially and that involves really keeping them in the top-six and challenging in the Cups. For me, Calderwood ticks that box.
Or if they want a longer term approach and to focus on youth players they can sell-on- like they did about seven years ago- then Billy Reid is a great appointment.

£200k on a mince striker didn't help his cause, nor did the woeful display against Malmo.
I think he was a bit like Houston at United - fans of other clubs thought he was doing alright, but fans of the club knew he was an absolute disaster. Seemed to luck himself into results & go on a wee run of form just when it looked like he was going to get punted.
