FM14 Live thread

Welcome to FM14 thread.

This thread is dedicated to the best video game in the world.

Here you can discuss tactics, formations, players, transfers, success and failures. I particularly want to see tactical discussions based on real life tactics/formations.

There are a few ways to enjoy FM. Others like starting new games almost every week (like me ) and then there are the hardcore gamer who stick to one club. Furthermore there are the even more hardcore gamers who start from the bottom in the lower leagues and work their way up. I respect this.

I have just started a career with Arsenal. This allows me to get into the game and learn a few details before starting my main career in the lower leagues. Still yet to decide which team. Any recommendations??

Championship Manager 01/02 still remains the best.

Champ manager 03/04 was the one! Signing players when their contract was not protected, and all the players I used to find on there!

there was one where you could bid for a player, then cancel the bid, and if you bid again £0 they accept it . Think it was 03/04.

Yeah you could cancel bids on there right at the last minute, don't recall getting them for £0 after though, unless their contra was expiring that year and I'd made the bid just to stop them going to the likes of arsenal or Real Madrid.....

I still play Champ Manager 01/02, they have a fan-run website which releases updates every 6 months.

The problem with 01 02 was it was just too easy to win every game by a stupid amount of goals.
