Which bit of it don't you actually understand, TEG? I earn a standard salary and don't do private work. Private work is potentially very lucrative although in practice the large numbers of simple examinations which would be required to earn a fortune wouldn't be available. The "hourly rate" though could easily be well into the thousands. Like I said, it's hypothetical.

I understand it ALL Vidal, I understand that you are trying to tell me that your work is "equivalent" to £10m a year in the private sector.

Would certainly be a good thing for me TEG. A private health company who sought to employ me worked out that the amount of work which currently accounts for around 10% of my "job plan" would be worth over a million pounds per year to me if I transferred it to the private sector. All true actually.
