So just came across this....

Basically, in Sven's new autobiography he said that after Fergie planned to retire in 2002 he was in line to take over. Fergie then changed his mind

Then him and Fergie fell out over Rooney in 2006.

What does everyone think of this?

Would you swap 2002-2012 with Fergie and then Moyes taking over for Sven taking over in 2002-Present.

Very, very lucky escape. England are still recovering from Sven's negativity, and the man is the epitome of sleaze.

but Rooney wasn't at UTD in 2002.
the way you've worded that, makes out that it was cos of Rooney, SAF he changed his mind.

They later fell out. The the doctor even took with him accused United's doctor of lying. SAF said he won't be fit for the Euros and it turned out to be a disaster for Rooney that Euro. He should have been left behind. England always take unfit players.
