Lawros Predictions

His predictions are a bit of a joke. I'm not surprised that he is often beaten by guest predictors like business men, singers and actors that have no footballing background

Can't believe he thinks Liverpool will keep a clean sheet against Sunderland and united, with the best defense in the league, are going to concede against West Brom. Yes we are away but it won't matter.

My predictions are in brackets.

Blackburn v Wolves 1-1
Fulham v Aston Villa 2-1 (2-2)
Liverpool v Sunderland 2-0 (0-19)
Man City v Swansea 2-0 (3-0)
Newcastle v Arsenal 1-2 (2-1 if barton plays, otherwise 1-1)
Stoke City v Chelsea 1-1 (1-2)
Tottenham v Everton p-p
QPR v Bolton 2-1 (1-2)
West Brom v Man Utd 1-2 (0-3)
Wigan v Norwich City 2-0 (2-1)

Ok maybe sunderland wont win 19-0, i'll go for 2-2.

What are your predictions?

Arsenal will be definitely without Fabregas and possibly Nasri (injury or sold). Clichey has gone.

In addition Wilshere and Diaby are injured.
Is Van persie back or is he still injured too?

I just can't see them beating Arsenal with a bullet in each leg.

Lawro does a fairly decent job of his predictions, but does sit on the fence where scores are concerned. You'll rarely see him predict any team to score more than 2. He does have his favourites, Liverpool rarely get predicted a loss, Wigan rarely predicted a win.

For the last few years at work we've done a prediction league with 1 point for the result, 3 points for correct score, 3 points for correct scorer and the winner last year won with 417 points, out of a possible 2660! There's a reason the bookies aren't poor.

Drives me mad that the bbc could afford to keep on bitter, biased old foold like Lawrenson on extortionate wages yet couldn't find the resouces to keep the old 606 boards going

Anyway, my predictions

Blackburn v Wolves 2-2
Fulham v Aston Villa 2-1
Liverpool v Sunderland 2-0
Man City v Swansea 3-0
Newcastle v Arsenal 1-1
Stoke City v Chelsea 1-1
QPR v Bolton 2-1
West Brom v Man Utd 1-1 (Hodgson has turned Brom into a solid outfit and United tend to start off slowly)
Wigan v Norwich City 1-2

West Brom are going to be far from the push-overs some people expect. They already had a solid midfield before Hodgson knocked their defence into shape. My outside bet for a Europa Cup place this season but maybe need another striker to pull that off.

The only one of his predictions for this weekend that i disagree with is for the Liverpool/Sunderland game.
