For me he should be bought as player for our midfield. I have seen him a lot this season and he is a very good player. Thoughts?

Victor Wanyama was the type of midfielder we really missed out on.

I've not watched a huge amount of Southampton games but when I have Victor hasn't massively impressed me. His passing seems very inaccurate considering how unadventurous it is. Maybe he's getting used to the league.
Medel I saw for the first time yesterday, he looked good. Anyone know why Seville let him go? I know his disciplinary record was poor in Spain, maybe that's the reason.

Sevilla let half their team go Sterling because they are skint.
They kept their best player though who I would love us to sign, Ivan Rakitic. Quality all rounder in midfield, would be a good Gerrard replacement IMO.

Blimey, just checked them out, they sold Kobdogbia, Negredo, Navas, Medel and Alberto for £75.6m.
That's a sale alright. Or to put it another way 90% of a Bale!

Played well on Sunday, but looks a bit of a salad-dodger
